In 2006, our crew was unable to draw a permit (AGAIN), but the Northern Crew - the Kegel boys - came up with two.  We were able to tag along, with one of the largest groups ever.  Since the holders of the permits were to be accompanied by 'Tamatas' this was the first float ever to allow 'accompanied tours'.  I later dubbed the float the wildlife tour - since we saw a Moose, an otter, and lots of other critters in addition to the black bear.  I never got a picture of the moose, since I was oaring, and couldn't get to the camera.

A few photos taken at Curtis Thompson's land after takeout - across from Bear Gulch (note the bear) - where some of us cut the trip short while the rest continued on.  We spent a couple of nights here, enjoying a leisurely exit from the corridor.
